LAZ Parking, the largest privately owned, tech-enabled parking, transportation, and mobility company in North America, is pleased to announce they will now provide comprehensive transportation and fleet management services at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Under the contract, LAZ will oversee the operation of almost 200 shuttles, five services, and two maintenance shops.
“We are thrilled that DFW has selected LAZ to provide best-in-class management services to its transportation operation," said Alan Lazowski, Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking. “Our company's culture is rooted in creating value for clients, and opportunities for our employees and the communities we serve. This agreement is an acknowledgement of our reputation for delivering on all three fronts and our record of providing tailored management services that meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients.”
Spanning roughly 27 square miles, DFW is the second-largest airport by land area in the United States, and one of the largest in the world. It is the fourth busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, serving more than 86 million passengers, and the third busiest in the world for air traffic and operations.
“DFW continues to set the standard for what is possible in the travel experience,” said Nicole Hankins, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Accounts at LAZ. “Their dedication to transforming the customer journey, investing in people, and building stronger communities reflects values we deeply share at LAZ. We are honored to support DFW’s evolving vision to help create memorable experiences for millions of travelers each year.”
The agreement includes full in-house fleet maintenance and integration of business intelligence into existing operations. The deal grew out of LAZ regional team members listening to the client to learn their goals and designing an approach to existing services with the future in mind, said Eric Gomes, LAZ Regional Vice President, North Texas and Oklahoma.
“We aligned with key stakeholders at the airport and in the industry on leading solutions to fleet maintenance,” said Gomes. “Before making the bid, we sought input from industry operations experts, fleet services subject matter experts, and leaders across LAZ’s national network on safety, finance, legal, and compliance. We then offered guidance to airport leaders on how to improve service with the existing technology partners and provided information on the latest technology advances and trends in the space for future consideration.”
LAZ listened, learned, and developed a plan that met DFW’s needs both now and into the future, said Gomes. “We are thrilled to be their partner on that journey.”
