At LAZ, we understand that as an industry leader it is our responsibility to maintain high standards of ethical conduct. With that, we have many systems, policies, and programs in place to ensure our actions and stakeholders comply with all necessary legal or governance requirements.
Sustainability Assessments: On a national level, LAZ completes three annual benchmarking assessments to assess the organization’s business practices and performance on environmental, social, and governance issues. In 2024, we responded to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Assessment, the EcoVadis Assessment, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
Health and Safety: The program's focus is to build a safety mindset from day one of employment, which is reinforced through daily check-ins, monthly meetings, and more. Thanks to these efforts, in 2024 LAZ experienced a 50% reduction in average number of days lost due to injury and an 85% average safety audit score across 1,000+ facility visits.
Cyber Security and Data Privacy: At LAZ, we take safeguarding sensitive data seriously. To keep this information secure and ensure the privacy of our stakeholders, we have developed a cyber security program which is in line with industry best practices. With a number of security policies, protocols, and more, LAZ has experienced zero security breaches since 2022 and earned 800/840 security score from Probably and Bit Sight.
Audit: Maintaining safe and secure locations is of the upmost importance to LAZ. Our audit team, through comprehensive in-person visits and digital platforms, ensure that our locations are following our codes of conduct, maintaining safe practices, and securing high quality reporting data. In 2024, 850+ audits were conducted with an average score of 90.72% across 783 locations.
