LAZ Selected to Run Parking Operations at I.M. Pei-Designed Luxury Condominium in Midtown Manhattan

Hartford, CT – April 12, 2023, LAZ Parking announced today that it has been selected to manage parking operations at The Centurion, a luxury condominium at 33 West 56th Street, in New York City. The 17-story, 47-unit luxury residence was designed by the late I.M. Pei and is the first ground-up residential condominium in New York City designed by the renowned architect and his firm, I.M. Pei Partnership Architects. Built in 2008, The Centurion is situated in the heart of midtown Manhattan and a short walk from Central Park, the theater district, the Plaza Hotel, Carnegie Hall, the Museum of Modern Art, Radio City Music Hall, and other city landmarks.

“We are excited and honored to have been selected to manage valet parking operations at The Centurion,” said Jeff Sanders, LAZ Parking’s Regional Vice President for New York and New Jersey. “It’s an acknowledgement of our reputation for providing an exceptional parking experience to our customers and clients.”

"It is indeed a thrill to be chosen to provide valet parking services at this iconic residential property in the heart of Midtown, said Alan Lazowski, Chairman, CEO, and Founder of LAZ Parking. “I am confident this will be a strong and productive partnership, because LAZ shares the same commitment to providing the highest level of service to building residents and their guests.”

Residential parking is an expanding segment of LAZ Parking’s extensive portfolio of parking management and transportation services business. LAZ delivers the same professional, personalized service to its residential customers as it does to guests at five-star hotels, resorts, and restaurants. LAZ also works across numerous other industries, including commercial, healthcare, airports, universities, government, retail, and events.

“LAZ has vast experience in the hospitality industry and our residential clients and customers reap the benefits of that,” said Jorge Brandao, a LAZ General Manager overseeing operations in New York. “We take pride in making residents feel like valued guests from the time we see them off in the morning to welcoming them home at the end of the day.”

LAZ also takes pride in the value it brings to its partnerships with residential property owners and managers, added Wilmer Valera, Director of Operations.

“Having the opportunity to bring that value to this extraordinary property is both an honor and a validation of our many years of hard work,” he said.
