Executive Profiles

Steve Mooney

Regional Vice President, Northern California

Steve Mooney joined LAZ Parking's Northern California leadership team in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of experience across the transportation, parking, and hospitality industries. He began his career parking cars at luxury resorts, where he quickly developed a passion for hospitality and leadership. After transitioning into hotel operations, Steve built a strong foundation in employee development, customer service excellence, and operational leadership, principles that continue to guide his approach today.

Since fully transitioning to the parking and transportation industry in 2013, Steve has established a track record of building high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships, and improving operational performance across complex and diverse portfolios. He leads with a #PeopleFirst philosophy, grounded in the belief that honesty, integrity, and respect are the cornerstones of sustainable success. In 2025, Steve earned his Parking, Transportation & Mobility Professional (PTMP) certification through the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI). 

Steve is passionate about spending time with his Northern California team, whether collaborating in the office or connecting outside of work. When he's not working, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and two daughters, engaging in a little friendly competition on the family's backyard basketball and volleyball courts, and proudly serving as the biggest fan of the music they create together.
