Steve Mooney joined LAZ Parking’s Northern California leadership team in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of experience across the transportation and hospitality industries. He began his career parking cars at luxury resorts before quickly setting his sights on becoming a hotelier. After transitioning “inside,” Steve developed his leadership capabilities and a strong commitment to employee development and service excellence—principles that continue to define his approach today.

Since fully transitioning into the parking and transportation sector in 2013, Steve has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships, and driving operational efficiency across complex, diverse portfolios. He leads with a #PeopleFirst philosophy, grounded in the belief that honesty, integrity, and respect are the foundation of any successful organization. In 2025, he earned his Parking, Transportation & Mobility Professional (PTMP) certification from the International Parking & Mobility Institute.

Steve revels in spending time with his NorCal team—both in the office and after hours. Outside of work, he can often be found enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two daughters, mixing in a little friendly competition on the backyard basketball and volleyball courts, and proudly serving as the biggest fan of the music they create together.
